The link to this article is:

It is quite an interesting article because it mentioned the experiment where rats who were addicted to drugs when placed in a new stimulating environment, they voluntarily withdrew from it. Those who were alone and didn't enjoy life as much as other rats in the stimulating Rat Park usually ended up abusing the drug and suffered from it.

It may be true for many of us that use pokie machine or other gambling channels because we are by ourselves and using them to fulfill certain needs that we have, because some of us are more "independent", rather than reaching out to converse with friends, possibly more likely to keep to ourselves.

This shows an important point of reaching out and re-connect, with someone who can help you, your friends or therapist, your previous hobbies that makes you happy.

Change of environment = change of state (emotional or physical)

I also mentioned in my blog where re-connecting with people and your life is important. I also wrote about how other things can help you in recovery.

If you would like more information or have any questions to ask me, you can also reach me there by my email.

Good luck in recovery!
