I would like some advice please.
I would like to know what the typical results are that a problem gambler could expect from treatment?
I understand that there are different levels of gambling addiction and there is no such thing as "Mr Average" but I would like to see some proper studies and the results.
For instance if there were 100 gamblers in a trial and they all did 10 hours counseling what percentage would be free of the problem after 6 months etc.
I have "Googled" this and can't find much.
The reason I want to know this is for comparison as I am a therapist and I treat a range of issues.recently I had my first session with a problem gambler and fixed his problem in 2 hours and he had a severe problem.
I realise that this is just one case so it would be good to further my education in this area.
